Welcome to the IIRPThe IIRP seeks to encourage the enrichment of Risk Management practices through the assimilation of knowledge, research, professional practices and techniques of Risk Psychology. Individual differences are a feature of human nature and will always play a significant part in the balance between risk and opportunity. At the systems/organisational level, the Risk Management professions have benefited from an impressive range of professional skills and techniques such as LEAN, 6 SIGMA and AGILE, that originated in the wider management domain. Similarly, at the human factor level, Risk Management will need to synchronize with Risk Psychology, and particularly with its focus on individual differences in disposition towards risk. The IIRP was founded to facilitate the trans-migration of skills and insights between all forms of risk management and human psychology. This will be achieved through social media for which the IIRP ‘hub’ will be a focus, through IIRP membership, newsletters, white papers, research reports, meetings and conferences. |
